US Dollar Experiences Slight Increase in Baghdad as Stock Exchanges Close


Baghdad: The price of the US dollar experienced a minor increase in Baghdad markets on Thursday as the stock exchanges closed at the end of the week. The rise in the dollar’s value was observed in the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges, where it reached 143,200 Iraqi dinars per 100 US dollars, compared to an earlier rate of 143,100 dinars per 100 US dollars.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, currency exchange shops in Baghdad’s local markets also reported an increase in the selling price, which climbed to 143,750 dinars per 100 US dollars. Meanwhile, the buying price increased to 142,750 dinars per 100 US dollars.



In contrast, Erbil’s market maintained stable dollar rates. The selling price in Erbil remained unchanged at 142,100 dinars per 100 US dollars, and the buying price stayed at 141,950 dinars per 100 US dollars.
