Baghdad: The US Embassy in Iraq has announced the official end of Stephen Fagin’s tenure as Charg© d’Affaires in Baghdad. In a recent statement, the Embassy extended a welcome to Josh Harris, who will be stepping into the role.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Josh Harris has held several positions prior to this appointment, including Director of Policy for the Special Presidential Envoy to the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS and Director of Iraq Affairs at the US National Security Council. The Embassy expressed confidence in Harris’s ability to lead and continue strengthening diplomatic relations in Iraq.
