US Embassy in Baghdad Highlights Trump’s Middle East Strategy for Stability and Prosperity

Baghdad: The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad affirmed on Wednesday that President Donald Trump's administration is steering the Middle East towards 'a new era of stability and prosperity.' This strategic direction emphasizes the significance of American investments in Iraq, highlighting the robust partnership between the two nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the embassy's release underscored the investment in the new U.S. consulate in Erbil as a 'more secure and effective platform for advancing Washington's interests in the region.' The development is seen as a testament to what 'a sovereign, secure, and prosperous Iraq can offer its people and the United States.'

The embassy reiterated Washington's commitment to supporting Iraq's ambitions for stability and developmental progress.

Earlier today, the city of Erbil marked the inauguration of the world's largest U.S. consulate. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Kurdistan Democratic Party President Masoud Barzani, Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, and his deputy Qubad Talabani, as well as U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Michael Rigas.
