Washington: Data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed on Sunday that the United States did not import any shipments of Iraqi crude oil last week.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Iraqi supplies to the US market have fluctuated significantly in recent weeks, reaching 43,000 barrels per day (bpd) in the week ending May 29, then rising to 107,000 bpd in the week ending June 5, before dropping to zero in the week ending June 12. Exports then rose again to 71,000 bpd in the week ending June 19, only to fall back to zero in the week ending June 26.

The data showed Canada as the largest exporter of crude oil to the United States, followed by Venezuela, Ecuador, and Mexico. US tables indicated that imports continued from Colombia, Saudi Arabia, and Libya, while Nigeria, like Iraq, did not record any oil exports to the US last week.
