Baghdad: US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated that the United States’ mission is to deter and wage wars, and to defeat and destroy its enemies, emphasizing that his country “fights to win.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hegseth highlighted that American developers are creating unmanned vessels, autonomous systems, drones, and hypersonic missiles. He mentioned that these technologies would redefine the concept of modern deterrence.

He noted that US doctrine is clear: “America First and Peace Through Strength,” adding that the country seeks to realize this doctrine by rebuilding the military and solidifying deterrence both domestically and globally.
