US Special Envoy: I Want to Make Iraq Great Again


Baghdad: The US envoy to Iraq, Mark Savaya, expressed his commitment to strengthening the relationship between the United States and Iraq. He conveyed his appreciation to the Shaldean Press newspaper for the platform to share his vision, as stated on his official account on the X platform.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Shaldean Press highlighted the historic appointment of Mark Savaya as the first US special envoy to Iraq. Savaya, a Chaldean born in Iraq, was appointed to this position on his 40th birthday by President Donald Trump. Over the past 40 years, Iraq has faced significant challenges, and Savaya has witnessed these events firsthand. His mission is centered around the welfare of the Iraqi people.



Savaya mentioned to Shaldean Press, “I want to make Iraq great again,” emphasizing his objective to foster peace and stability in the country. The newspaper reported that his goal is to construct a robust bridge between the US and Iraq, expressing confidence that Iraq is on a path of improvement with boundless potential.
