US State Department: Trump Determined to End Russia-Ukraine War

Washington: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that President Donald Trump is determined to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, after three years of it.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the State Department announced on its social networking site that “the United States will propose to the United Nations a historic resolution that should be supported by all member states with the aim of paving the way for peace.” The US initiative reflects a strategic shift towards resolving the ongoing conflict, emphasizing the need for international cooperation.

US President Donald Trump has taken a firm stance on the issue, criticizing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as “a dictator without elections,” further stating that Zelenskyy “better act quickly or he will have no country left.” This statement highlights the urgency with which the Trump administration is approaching the resolution of the conflict.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called on the United Nations to support a US draft resolution described as “simple and historic” regarding the conflict in Ukraine. The resolution, titled “The Path to Peace,” was submitted to the United Nations General Assembly, urging a swift end to the conflict. It aims to encourage the involved parties towards a peaceful solution, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and negotiation in achieving stability in the region.
