Washington: The US Treasury announced new sanctions targeting Iran’s aviation sector.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Treasury has indefinitely suspended a license that temporarily allowed the re-export of certain civilian aircraft to Iran.

The sanctions have been imposed on 36 entities and individuals accused of supporting Iran’s aviation sector, which is allegedly used to transport weapons and other illicit cargo.
