According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Venezuelan government’s statement emphasized its belief that attempts to instigate a colonial war aimed at dismantling the current political structure would not succeed. The government is appealing to the international community to rally against what it terms imperialist aggression, reiterating its commitment to the principles of the United Nations Charter, with a focus on respecting state sovereignty.

In a related development, Colombian President Gustavo Petro has requested an emergency session of the UN Security Council in response to the situation in Venezuela. President Petro expressed concern about reports of explosions and unusual aerial activities, which have heightened regional tensions.
