Baghdad: The Victory Coalition has affirmed its support for the measures taken by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to maintain security and strengthen sovereignty.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the coalition’s media office issued a press release emphasizing the coalition’s categorical rejection of using Iraqi territory for actions that harm neighboring countries or threaten Iraq’s relations and interests. The coalition reiterated its rejection of wars and aggression against peoples and the violation of state sovereignty. The statement highlighted the coalition’s support for the measures aimed at preserving national security, strengthening control and sovereignty, and preventing any actions that could undermine Iraq’s relations and its advocacy for security, peace, and solidarity.

The statement further emphasized the necessity for the state and its constitutional institutions to be the ultimate authority in security, military, and political decisions to protect Iraq’s sovereignty and security, as well as its relations with Arab and regional neighbors. The coalition stressed that any shortcomings would be addressed legally, in a manner that safeguards Iraq’s interests. It underlined the importance of containing repercussions of any incident with wisdom and responsibility, to prevent the escalation of tensions and preserve the country’s and region’s stability.
