Washington offers Israel an offer in exchange for refraining from attacking “certain” targets in Iran

The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reported that the United States offered Israel “compensation” if it refrained from attacking “certain” targets in Iran, as part of the expected attack in response to the Iranian attack.

The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation indicated in a report that the administration of US President Joe Biden offered Israel what it called a “compensation package” if it refrained from attacking certain targets in Iran, which the report did not specify.

The report stated that since the Iranian attack last week, talks have been underway between Israeli and American officials on the issue of the Israeli response to Iran.

It indicated that “during the talks, US officials offered their Israeli counterparts broad diplomatic support and additional military assistance if they did not attack certain targets on Iranian territory.”

The corporation quoted an Israeli official as saying: “We consider the United States our ally, and we are always ready to listen to it, and at the same t
ime, we will do whatever is necessary to protect the citizens of Israel and the security of Israel.”

The report indicated that the Israeli army leadership continues to hold additional discussions and approve plans for a possible response in Iran, and according to an Israeli security official, the response “will be harsh.”

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant is scheduled to visit the United States next Wednesday to meet with his American counterpart Lloyd Austin.

US President Joe Biden urged Israel last Friday not to target Iranian oil facilities, stressing that he is working to rally the countries of the world to avoid the outbreak of an all-out war in the Middle East.
