Washington: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio offered his country’s mediation to launch “constructive talks” between India and Pakistan during a call with Pakistani Army Chief of Staff Asim Munir.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, US State Department Spokeswoman Tammy Bruce stated that Rubio urged both sides to find ways to reduce tensions. He offered US assistance to initiate constructive talks aimed at preventing future conflicts. The US seeks to play a facilitative role in improving relations between the two neighboring countries.
