Wasit: The Wasit Provincial Council has decided to purchase the land of the Al-Kut Hypermarket site, with plans to convert it into a memorial honoring the martyrs and reflecting the tragedy experienced by the people of the province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Council Chairman Ali Sulaiman announced that during the council's regular session held on Tuesday, a vote was conducted to approve this significant transformation. In addition to the memorial, the council also voted to allocate a residential plot within the city limits to each martyr of the Al-Kut Hypermarket incident.
