Baghdad: The Iraqi Meteorological Organization forecasts clear skies and a drop in temperatures in the coming days.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the organization announced that the weather on Sunday will be clear, with moderate northwesterly winds and temperatures similar to Saturday’s across the country. On Saturday, Baghdad recorded a low temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, with a high of 47 degrees Celsius expected.

The organization provided a detailed forecast for high temperatures on Sunday in various Iraqi governorates: Dohuk is expected to reach 39 degrees Celsius, Sulaimaniyah 41, Erbil 42, Nineveh 43, Anbar 45, Kirkuk 46, Salah al-Din, Diyala, and Karbala 47, Baghdad, Wasit, and Babylon 48, Diwaniyah and Najaf 49, while Maysan, Dhi Qar, Muthanna, and Basra are anticipated to hit 50 degrees Celsius.

Furthermore, the statement highlighted that Monday’s weather will remain clear with some scattered clouds across the country. Temperatures are expected to remain similar to those on Saturday, with light to moderate northwesterly winds.

The forecast also indicates that Tuesday will see clear skies with temperatures dropping a few degrees compared to Monday across Iraq. Winds will be predominantly northwesterly, occasionally shifting direction, and light in speed.
