Diyala: A woman committed suicide by electrocution inside her home in the Mansouriyah district of Diyala Governorate. A police source told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) correspondent: “A woman in her thirties committed suicide by electrocution after tying her wrists with electrical wires and connecting them to a power switch inside her home on the outskirts of Mansouriyah district, northeast of Baqubah, which led to her immediate death.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the victim’s body was transferred to the forensic medicine department to complete legal procedures. Meanwhile, security forces have opened an investigation into the incident. The authorities are working to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic event and any possible motives behind the suicide.
