Baquba: A woman impersonating a cosmetic surgeon was arrested in Baquba, the provincial capital. The Diyala Health Department announced this arrest, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat unlicensed medical practices in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Faris al-Azzawi, the media director of the Diyala Health Department, stated that a joint team comprising the Diyala Health Inspection Department and the Directorate of Combating Organized Crime conducted a raid on a fake beauty center. The center was being operated by a woman posing as a cosmetic surgeon during an inspection campaign in Baquba.

During the raid, the team confiscated equipment and materials from the center. The case has been referred to the judiciary for the necessary legal actions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
