MOSUL – The forensic medicine department in Nineveh has announced the death of a young man who drowned in the recent floods south of Mosul.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, that the young man, in his twenties, drowned due to the floods and torrents that hit the village of Wadi al-Murr on the Baghdad road, south of Mosul. The source added that the body of the young man was recovered and taken to the forensic medicine department in Mosul. This tragic incident underscores the severity of the flooding in the area and the risks it poses to local communities.
