Baqubah: A young man was killed following a quarrel between two families northeast of Baqubah, the capital of Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the young man is the son of an imam and preacher of a mosque in the Jalawla district. He was killed by gunfire after a quarrel broke out between two families that escalated into the use of weapons.

A security source indicated that initial indications point to criminal motives behind the crime. A police force conducted a raid and search operation in the area, which resulted in the arrest of two individuals suspected of being involved in the young man's murder.
