Baquba: The body of a young man who drowned in the Diyala River was recovered. The Diyala Police Command announced today the recovery of the body in the Dhubab area of Abi Saida district, northeast of Baquba.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Diyala Police Command stated in a press release that its units received information about a drowning incident in the Dhubab area. Following this, a specialized team of divers from the River Police Department of the Diyala Police Command was formed.

The statement added that the diving team was able to recover the young man’s body after continuous search operations. The Diyala Police Command emphasized the importance of adhering to safety guidelines and avoiding swimming in unsafe areas to protect lives.
