Zelensky Announces Expected Ceasefire and Upcoming Meeting with Putin in Turkey


Ankara: Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has declared his expectation of a complete and permanent ceasefire to commence tomorrow. Zelensky also confirmed his plans to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkey on Thursday.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Zelensky emphasized the importance of a ceasefire as a foundation for diplomatic efforts. He stated, “We expect a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire starting tomorrow, to provide the necessary basis for diplomacy. There is no point in postponing the killings, and I will wait for Putin in Turkey on Thursday.” Zelensky expressed his hope that Russia will not seek reasons to obstruct this meeting.
