AmaraMaysan Governorate Police Directorate announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of eight people accused of drug trafficking in separate areas of the city of Amara.
The Directorate stated in a statement, that the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Department in Maysan Governorate arrested (8) wanted persons in the narcotics trade in the flagrante delicto, in their possession more than (500 grams) of crystal and narcotic hashish, narcotic pills and tools used for drug use, in addition to three pistols.
It indicated that the continuous and fruitful cooperation with citizens who provide their information via the toll-free (178) hotline had an important role in the process of arresting the accused, indicating that the necessary legal measures were taken against them in accordance with the provisions of Article (28) of narcotics to obtain their just punishment.
