Baghdad The Iraqi Observatory for Press Freedoms, affiliated with the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, welcomed the release of Ali Al-Dhabawi, the presenter of Al-Baghdadiya satellite channel, less than two days after his arrest.

In a press statement, the observatory called on the local and foreign media to complete the process of obtaining the required licenses to work inside Iraq, similar to what the authorities of various countries of the world are doing.

In addition, activists and intellectuals demonstrated in the center of the capital, Baghdad, demanding the reopening of the office of Al-Baghdadiya satellite channel in the capital.

A security force closed the Al-Baghdadiya satellite channel building in the capital, Baghdad, on Tuesday.
