In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condolences and sincere sympathy to the government and people of the Russian Federation following the crash of the An-148 plane, which killed 71 civilians.

It added, “We renew the solidarity and standing of the Republic of Iraq, the government and people, with the families of the victims in these difficult circumstances, and we direct words of support to them.”
