Liaoning province: Chinese authorities reported that at least 12,700 people were evacuated due to heavy rains in Liaoning Province, northeast China.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, heavy to very heavy rain has been falling on southeastern Liaoning since Sunday, while the northern and western parts of the province have experienced light to moderate rain, with some areas experiencing heavy to very heavy rainfall. The Liaoning Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters stated that red alerts for heavy rain remain in effect in several parts of the province, with nine cities activating emergency flood response measures.

The provincial emergency management department has instructed eight cities, including Dalian, Anshan, and Dandong, to put 3,611 emergency rescue and response teams, totaling more than 127,000 personnel, on standby for flood relief efforts. Dandong alone has evacuated 8,078 people.

Rainfall of 100 to 130 mm is expected over the next six to eight hours, with a maximum rainfall intensity of 70 mm. At the hour, the cumulative total is likely to exceed 350 mm by the end of the rainstorm.
