Diyala: The ministerial team responsible for the National Strategy for Integrity and Combating Corruption (2025-2030) from the Ministry of Planning recently visited the Diyala Planning Directorate and the Statistics and Geographic Information Systems Authority in Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the visit was a part of ongoing efforts to monitor the implementation of the strategy’s requirements. The team aims to promote a culture of integrity, assess the institutional situation, evaluate the integrity environment, and manage risks within the ministry’s departments. This initiative was supported and followed up by Dr. Hanaa Ismail Al-Asadi, the Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs and head of the ministerial team.

The visit included a series of awareness-raising activities designed to promote transparency and integrity. The team completed forms to evaluate the national strategy’s implementation and enhance transparency and institutional integration. The focus was on adhering to standards of integrity and transparency, developing clear job descriptions, work manuals, and operational procedures.

The team emphasized the importance of these measures in mitigating risks, clarifying responsibilities, ensuring business continuity, and documenting administrative procedures. Supporting digital transformation was also highlighted as a critical factor in fostering an institutional work environment grounded in commitment and accountability, ultimately reducing the risk of corruption.
