Mosul: A source in the Nineveh Health Department revealed that health inspection teams have successfully destroyed 15 tons of pickles that were deemed unfit for human consumption. These pickles, known locally as torshi, were confiscated during a rigorous inspection campaign on the right bank of Mosul.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the seized pickles were found to be non-compliant with health requirements. The destruction was carried out following established procedures to ensure that these unsafe products did not make their way to the consumer market.
The source further emphasized the ongoing nature of inspection campaigns in markets and food establishments. These efforts aim to protect citizens’ safety and ensure that legal actions are taken against any violators of health regulations.
