Rafah: At least 30 Palestinians were killed and 115 others injured in a new incident involving Israeli forces on Sunday morning, as civilians were shot while heading to an aid distribution point west of Rafah, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Israeli forces opened fire on hundreds of Palestinians attempting to reach the aid distribution site in Rafah. This attack resulted in 30 fatalities and 115 injuries, raising the death toll at these locations to 39, with more than 220 injured within less than a week.

In recent days, 17 Palestinians have been killed and many others injured trying to access aid distribution points. This comes as a consequence of a policy that has seen crossings closed for over 90 days, preventing the entry of humanitarian assistance, particularly food supplies. This blockade has led to significant levels of starvation among Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli Army has been involved in what has been described as genocidal actions in the Gaza Strip. These have resulted in over 178,000 deaths and injuries, predominantly affecting children and women. Additionally, more than 11,000 people are missing, and hundreds of thousands have been displaced, left without homes or access to food.
