Baghdad: The Isfahan Crisis Management Organization announced today, Friday, that a 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck at a depth of 8 kilometers in the rural areas of Fereydunshahr, within the Pishkuh region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Organization stated that “the tremor lasted for several seconds and was felt by residents of the surrounding villages. No casualties were reported, and field teams are continuing their assessment and monitoring operations.”
Isfahan province is considered one of the areas that experience intermittent seismic activity due to its proximity to several active geological faults in central Iran. Local and international monitoring agencies record light to moderate tremors from time to time.
