BAGHDAD: In a decisive move to combat environmental degradation, the Council of Ministers announced today that it will halt all activities known to pollute the environment. This includes modifying current practices by changing fuels, or incorporating special additives or filters that help reduce emissions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the decision was made during the Council’s session held on Tuesday. The ministers have also agreed to initiate a national program aimed at monitoring air quality and emissions from various sources. This program aligns with the Ambient Air Protection System from Pollution No. 4 of 2012, and involves submitting a monthly report to the Council of Ministers detailing the progress and effectiveness of the implemented procedures.

The actions taken by the Council of Ministers signify a robust approach towards environmental conservation and underline the government’s commitment to ensuring cleaner air and a healthier ecosystem for its citizens.
