VIENNA: Iraq has emphasized the need for increased international collaboration to tackle illegal activities that transcend national borders.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the call came during the twelfth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, held in Vienna. Minister Plenipotentiary Hussein Mansour Al-Safi, head of the Iraqi delegation, voiced strong support for the efforts of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Organized Crime.
Al-Safi highlighted the necessity of bolstering international cooperation based on the principles of shared responsibility. He stressed the importance of a unified approach to combatting all forms of illegal activities that cross national boundaries, underscoring the critical role of global partnerships in addressing these complex challenges.
