Prime Minister Al-Sudani Inspects Progress on Diyala Sewage Projects


Diyala: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani recently conducted a follow-up visit to monitor the progress of two major sewage projects in the Diyala region, aimed at significantly enhancing local infrastructure.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister reviewed the ongoing work at the Al-Khalis sewage project and the second phase of the West Baqubah sewage project. The Al-Khalis project, once completed, will handle up to 22,000 cubic meters per day, while the West Baqubah project will manage an impressive 56,000 cubic meters daily. These initiatives are expected to improve sanitation facilities significantly, reflecting the government’s commitment to upgrading public services.

The visit underscores the government’s focus on critical infrastructure projects that aim to improve the quality of life for residents and promote sustainable urban development.
