Three Drug Dealers Captured with 7 kg of Crystal Meth in Anbar


ANBAR: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs successfully apprehended three individuals found in possession of 7 kg of crystal methamphetamine in Anbar.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrests were the result of a meticulously planned operation spearheaded by the General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs. The operation, guided by the directives of the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, involved the formation of a specialized team under the leadership of Major General Ahmed Al-Zarkani. This team was closely managed by the Director of the Anbar Narcotics Affairs Directorate. The detailed intelligence operation spanned 30 days, culminating in a tightly coordinated ambush that led to the arrests of the dealers just 24 hours following a related operation in Maysan and Basra. That previous operation had resulted in the seizure of an additional 20 kilograms of crystal meth and the arrest of other involved parties.
