BAGHDAD: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has issued a directive allowing employees time to perform obligatory prayers during work hours, a move aimed at accommodating religious practices within the workplace.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a circular from the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers outlined Al-Sudani’s directive, stating that necessary measures should be taken to facilitate prayer time for employees. The directive emphasizes that the timing should be determined by employers, with consideration given to the virtuous or prescribed times for prayer.
