Gang Using Hypnosis to Steal Arrested by Babylon Police


BABYLON: The Babylon police have successfully dismantled a gang of four individuals accused of using hypnosis as a tool to carry out thefts. The arrests mark a significant victory for the anti-crime squads in the area, who have been tracking the group’s activities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Director of Babylon Police, Major General Ali Al-Hasnawi, revealed that the gang confessed to a range of illicit activities beyond hypnosis-related thefts. These include filing false malicious lawsuits against gold merchants and goldsmiths in the province, with the intent of blackmailing them and seizing their assets.

Major General Al-Hasnawi further stated that the accused have admitted to their involvement in crimes of fraud and deception. Their statements have been officially recorded, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing investigation into their criminal operations.
