BEIRUT: Israeli military operations intensified in southern Lebanon today, with multiple airstrikes and drone attacks targeting various towns and villages across the region, resulting in casualties and significant damage. The series of attacks, involving both air and artillery strikes, marks a notable escalation in hostilities, impacting civilian areas and infrastructure.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Israeli warplanes initiated an airstrike at 2:00 pm, targeting the Alian neighborhood in Nabatieh al-Fawqa. Shortly afterward, similar raids were reported in the town of Anqoun and on the town of Majdal Zoun, as enemy aircraft continued their operations across southern Lebanon.

Further airstrikes were carried out at around 3:15 pm, targeting the region between Maidaneh plain in Kfar Remman and Jarmaq, with additional attacks in Tayr Dibba in the Tyre district. In Marjeyoun, two raids were launched near the Litani River, resulting in a fire at a local farm. The town of Khiyam also experienced art
illery shelling.

Nabatieh saw further aggression with an airstrike at 3:30 pm between Jebchit and Ebba. In Tyre, an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle on the Al-Qasimiyah-Burj Rahhal road, leading to the death of the driver, who was subsequently transported to Jabal Amel Hospital by members of the Islamic Message Scouts.

The afternoon’s hostilities continued with attacks on the Islamic Health Authority Center in Khirbet Selm, as well as raids on Al-Bazouriyeh, Yanouh, and Siddiqin. In Bint Jbeil district, airstrikes targeted Al-Tayri, Kounine, and Beit Yahoun, accompanied by artillery shelling, further exacerbating the situation in these communities.
