Baghdad: Defense Minister Thabet Mohammed Al-Abbasi discussed with the Commander of the NATO Mission in Iraq, Lieutenant General Lucas Schoeers, training plans to develop the capabilities of the Iraqi army. The Ministry said in a statement: “The Minister met in his office today with the NATO Commander in Iraq, and during the meeting, the tasks carried out by the NATO Mission in Iraq were reviewed.”
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the two sides also discussed “ways of joint cooperation and discussed training plans to develop the capabilities of the Iraqi army.” The meeting highlights the ongoing efforts to enhance the operational readiness of the Iraqi forces through structured training programs.
