Baghdad: Iraq has called upon nations worldwide to cease the supply of weapons to what it refers to as the Zionist entity. This appeal was made during a United Nations Security Council session, as Iraq highlighted the ongoing conflict and its repercussions on the region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Iraq’s Representative Abbas Kadhim Obaid delivered a speech urging the Security Council to pass resolutions that would compel the occupying forces to halt their aggression. He emphasized the necessity of stopping the attacks on Gaza and initiating the reconstruction of cities that have been devastated by the conflict.
Obaid further alleged that the Zionist occupation employs prohibited weapons in its offensive on Gaza, which he claims has exacerbated the regional conflict. He also highlighted the continuous assaults on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), describing these actions as significant violations of international agreements.
