Pentagon Acknowledges Potential Iranian Response to Israeli Strikes.

Pentagon: The US Department of Defense has indicated that while an Iranian response to recent Israeli strikes is possible, it is unlikely to occur imminently. In a press conference, Pentagon Spokesman Pat Ryder emphasized that diplomatic avenues remain open for resolving the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ryder confirmed the potential for Iran to retaliate militarily to the Israeli actions. He highlighted the Department of Defense’s vigilant monitoring of Iranian activities, underscoring a commitment to coordinate with and defend Israel. Ryder stated, “We are keeping our eyes open to what Tehran will do after the airstrikes” conducted by Israeli forces.

Additionally, Ryder commented on Russia’s enlistment of North Korean forces, suggesting it reflects the challenges Moscow faces militarily. He remarked on the uncertainty surrounding the agreement between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, particularly regarding the compensat
ion demanded by the Kremlin.
