ANKARA: The delegation from Iraq’s Ministry of Water Resources has arrived in Ankara to partake in the third meeting of the Permanent Joint Water Committee. This significant gathering aims to address critical aspects of water resource management between Iraq and Turkey.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi Embassy in Turkey released a statement noting that the Iraqi Ambassador to Ankara, Majid Al-Lajmawi, welcomed the Technical Undersecretary of the Ministry of Water Resources, Hussein Abdul-Amir Baka, along with his accompanying delegation. Their presence marks a crucial step in discussing the ongoing water issues faced by the two neighboring countries.

The meeting is set to cover recent developments in the water file, focusing on sustainable management and equitable distribution of water resources.
