Baghdad: Former Speaker of Parliament and leader of the Progress Party, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, has declared his support for the newly appointed Speaker of Parliament, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, and emphasized the importance of the legislative authority fulfilling its constitutional duties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Halbousi expressed his backing for Al-Mashhadani in a recent statement, highlighting the need to complete the political agreement paper and legislate the laws it encompasses. He acknowledged the efforts of leaders, representatives, and supporters of the Progress Party in maintaining their political entitlements and ensuring continued progress.
