Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi engaged in discussions with William Burns, Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency, focusing on the situation in Lebanon and the joint efforts aimed at calming the situation in the Gaza Strip. The talks underscored the strong strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States, highlighting both nations’ commitment to bolstering regional security and stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President El-Sisi hosted Burns, where both parties reaffirmed the solid strategic alliance between their countries. During the meeting, they addressed several regional and international issues, particularly the situation in Lebanon and the ongoing efforts to pacify the Gaza Strip. Discussions also covered advancing negotiations to achieve a ceasefire, the exchange of detainees, and ensuring immediate and full access to humanitarian aid.
