Istanbul: Mass demonstrations unfolded in Istanbul as thousands of Turks and Arabs residing in Turkey gathered in front of the US consulate. The protestors voiced their opposition to what they described as the United States’ unwavering support for the Zionist entity, including the provision of weapons used against Palestinians in Gaza and Lebanon.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, demonstrators waved Palestinian and Turkish flags, chanting slogans against the Zionist entity and US policies that they claim support actions against Palestinians. The protestors also displayed banners symbolizing Turkish solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for independence and the establishment of a free state.
Ridwan Kaya, representing a solidarity association, addressed the crowd, condemning what he termed as massacres committed by the “Zionist gang” over the past 13 months, affecting all demographics, including children and women. Kaya accused the US of backing these actions, drawing parallels to historical acts a
gainst the continent’s indigenous Red Indians.
Kaya also emphasized the importance of continuing a boycott of Israeli products and those linked to the Zionist entity as a form of protest and solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
