Wasit: The British Ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Hitchen, arrived in Wasit Governorate and engaged in discussions with the local government.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a press conference, Hitchen expressed satisfaction with his inaugural visit to the governorate, highlighting the signing of an agreement to establish an English language examination center. This center aims to facilitate access to a prestigious, internationally recognized English language certificate.

Hitchen also revealed that discussions were held with the Wasit government concerning investment and commercial opportunities, emphasizing the goal of enhancing the British role in the governorate. The visit underscores a commitment to fostering educational and economic collaboration between the United Kingdom and Wasit Governorate.
