Turkish President Arrives in Kyrgyzstan to Participate in the Summit of the Organization of Turkic Speaking States.


Bishkek: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Monday evening to participate in the 11th Summit of the Council of the Organization of Turkic Speaking States, scheduled to be held the day after tomorrow, Wednesday. Erdogan was received upon his arrival at Bishkek International Airport by his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Japarov and Turkish Ambassador to Bishkek Ahmet Sadik Dogan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish President is accompanied on his visit by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Defense Yasar Guler, Health Kemal Memisoglu, Trade Omer Bolat, Head of the Intelligence Service Ibrahim Kalin and Head of the Communications Department of the Presidency Fahrettin Altun.

The Organization of Turkic Speaking States was established on October 3, 2009, and includes Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, while Hungary, Turkmenistan, and Turkish Northe
rn Cyprus have observer status.
