Baghdad: The Joint Operations Command announced today the killing of four terrorists in an airstrike in the Hamrin Mountains within the Kirkuk Operations Command sector on the border with the Salah al-Din Operations Command. According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the command highlighted that the operation was conducted under the directives of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. The armed forces have been achieving notable success in dismantling terrorist networks and pursuing their remnants. The statement elaborated on the meticulous intelligence work by the Military Intelligence Directorate, which utilized its human and technical resources effectively. Through sustained observation by the targeting cell in the Joint Operations Command over two days, the position of a terrorist group of four was pinpointed in the Hamrin Mountains. In response to this precise intelligence, the operation commenced at 18:20 hours, utilizing F-16 aircraft to execute a strike t hat led to the elimination of the terrorists and destruction of their hideout. The strike also obliterated weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials.
