Karbala: The Relief Committee of the Husseini Holy Shrine has announced that it is hosting more than 6,000 Lebanese individuals in response to the recent aggression on Lebanon. The relief efforts have involved accommodating the displaced in various facilities around Karbala, including visitor cities, private hotels, Husseiniyas, and local homes, ensuring they receive necessary housing, food, and health care. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abdul Amir Taha, a member of the committee and head of the Public Relations Department at the Hussein Holy Shrine, confirmed the hosting of 6,232 Lebanese citizens. These individuals are being accommodated in locations affiliated with the Hussein Holy Shrine, as well as in private hotels arranged in coordination with the Association of Tourist Hotels and Restaurants in Karbala. The efforts are part of a larger initiative to support Lebanese families, considered guests of Iraq, with essential logistical services. The Husseini Holy Shrine's response is a result of directives from the representative of the supreme religious authority and its legal guardian, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbala'i. In addition to offering shelter, the shrine has formed a crisis cell dedicated to providing relief to those affected, ensuring comprehensive support for the Lebanese people during this challenging time.
