Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has underscored the crucial role that European Union countries can play in exerting pressure to halt the ongoing war in Gaza and Lebanon. This call to action was made during a meeting with Jan Schneidov, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister expressed his congratulations to Ambassador Schneidov on his new position and engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening relations between Iraq and the Czech Republic, as well as the European Union at large. The focus of the talks was on advancing mutual interests across various sectors.

The Prime Minister highlighted the urgent need for the European Union to work towards stopping the conflict in Gaza and Lebanon. He also emphasized the importance of delivering immediate relief and humanitarian aid to mitigate the severe consequences of the war on both the regional and global scales.
