Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has disclosed a forthcoming meeting among the foreign ministers of Iran, Russia, Turkey, and Syria aimed at addressing the ongoing Syrian crisis. This significant diplomatic engagement is scheduled to take place next week, as Pezeshkian affirmed his country’s commitment to halting terrorist activities in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Pezeshkian emphasized during an interview with Iranian Channel One the importance of pursuing a political and diplomatic resolution to the Syrian crisis rather than a military approach. He highlighted the necessity of continuing the Astana track to effectively address Syria’s issues.

Pezeshkian further stated the importance of filing a complaint with the Security Council and ceasing support to terrorist factions. He expressed the need for sustained negotiations with Russia and other influential nations to find a resolution to the Syrian conflict.
