BAGHDAD: The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and the head of the Taqqadum (Progress) Party, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, have called for the unification of national ranks to confront ongoing challenges and bolster governmental efforts in executing its agenda.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandalawi hosted Al-Halbousi for discussions on the nation’s political climate and the enhancement of collaboration among national forces to serve the public interest. The meeting underscored the necessity of advancing several key legislative proposals that have experienced delays, emphasizing those that impact public services and citizens’ daily lives. Al-Mandalawi further noted that the upcoming parliamentary session is expected to see an intensified focus on parliamentary oversight.
The leaders also concurred on the need for sustained coordination and dialogue to fortify democratic processes, unify national efforts in the face of challenges, and support the government’s strategic initiatives.
