BAGHDAD: Federal Police Command forces have apprehended 13 individuals suspected of involvement in a violent altercation that resulted in the deaths of four people and injuries to two others in the Al-Hussainiya area, east of Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident began as a children’s brawl but escalated into gunfire, prompting the intervention of the 20th Brigade of the Fifth Division in the Federal Police. The police reported that the confrontation led to the deaths of four individuals and injuries to two others. In response, a joint team was formed with local security services and intelligence support to investigate the incident.

The investigation involved gathering information and reviewing surveillance footage, which led to the identification and arrest of 13 suspects. Authorities also confiscated four Kalashnikov rifles and a pistol during the arrests. The suspects, along with the seized weapons, have been handed over to the competent authorities to complete the necessary investigative and legal procedures.
